It’s mommy confession time. Ladies, if you are here reading this right now, I’m here to tell you a little secret about me. It’s not something I’m proud of, but it’s who I am and honestly, I’m not ashamed of this and I’m definitely not ashamed to tell you about my LBL.

What is LBL you may be thinking???

Light Bladder Leakage. Yes, I said it, and yes, there are times I do struggle with this. If you are struggling with LBL, you are not alone. It can be embarrassing, especially when you are out in public when it happens. Thankfully there are ways to manage it!

Facts about LBL:

-One in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) – little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise.
-Weak pelvic floor muscles, pregnancy, childbirth and weight gain are just a few LBL contributors.

What causes LBL?

Just as no two women are alike, there’s no single reason that LBL happens. Some of the most common things that lead to uninvited leaks include:
•Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause
•Being overweight
•Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
•Bladder or urinary tract infections
•Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

For me, LBL happens when I jump!  I went to a trampoline park the other day with my girls and my husband. It was such a fun time and we spent quite a bit of time jumping. However, I had to cut my jumping time short while I took a break to watch my girls and husband jump. Why? I just wasn’t prepared for my LBL that day. It was a such a disappointment. I didn’t want to stop jumping but I knew that if I didn’t, my small problem could turn into a bigger problem. The same thing happens when I jump rope, so for me, I know that I can prepare myself in the future for any activities that involve jumping by wearing the new Poise Thin-Shape pads.

The new Poise Thin-Shape pads are up to 40% thinner than original Poise brand pads! Designed to move with your body, new Poise Thin-Shape pads feature Super Absorbent Material (SAM) and a Thin-Flex design for extraordinary protection that’s still 3x drier than period pads† to help you take care of leaks with confidence.

The next time I go to the trampoline park to jump, I’ll be able to enjoy myself without having to stop because of LBL!

Get a free Poise sample while you are here! These samples are great to add to your purse, gym bag, office desk, etc. If I would have had one of these in my purse the day we jumped, I would have been prepared!

Now that you are switching to Poise, what do you think you’ll do with all of those other pads? It’s time to recycle your unused pads!

Here’s how I recycled my unused pads. I’m using my unused pads as coffee sleeves! Simply stick an unused pad around your coffee cup and help your hands stay safe from the hot coffee! An extra perk? If it spills around the edges, the pad will soak up the coffee!
