Need fun ideas for tween girls? Here are ideas for games for tween girls to play!
Whether the event is a sleepover, a birthday party or an afternoon playdate, girls love to play games.
Board games or outdoor relays are always fun, but to really get the girls giggling, concentrate on offering up the materials and directions for some goofy games that will appeal to all the children.
These games are also great icebreakers for kids who are just getting to know each other.
Games for Tween Girls to Play
Foil Fashion Game
Girls get a kick out of this game that features fashion designing at its most ludicrous. Depending on the number of kids, the fashion foil game can be played individually or in teams.
Give each player a roll of aluminum foil and put string and rubber bands in the center of the game area. The object is to use the foil to create the most memorable outfit – complete with accessories like shoes, sunglasses, hats and purses within 15 minutes. Make sure to take pictures.
Hula Hoop Relay Game
This activity is most fun with teams of 5 or more girls.
Have a hula hoop on hand for each group. Divide the kids and instruct each team to hold hands and stand in a line. The object is for the girls to pass the hula hoop down the line and back without letting go of each other’s hands.
If anyone becomes disconnected during the process, their team has to start over. The team who passes the hoop the fastest wins a prize. After a few rounds, have all the kids put on blindfolds and give it another try.
Blind Makeover Game
Most girls love to play with makeup and this silly game lets them do just that, often to hilarious results.
Make sure to have plenty of cosmetics on hand – blush, lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara are a great start. The idea is to host a “beauty” contest where all of the kids must apply their own makeup without using a mirror. The winner is the girl who looks the worst.
The Telephone Game
Since girls love to communicate, this classic camp game is always a lot of fun.
The more kids who play, the more interesting the game becomes, and it’s really most effective with at least 7 players. Have everyone sit in a circle and choose one person to be the telephone caller. The caller will whisper a secret into the ear of her neighbor and the neighbor will, in turn, whisper the secret into the ear of the next girl.
Keep going until the secret has been passed from ear to ear all the way around the circle. The last person tells the secret to the girl who started it, and she announces whether it’s the same thing she said originally. Each girl gets a turn to be the caller.
Girls have the most fun when they get to play games tailored towards their interests and age groups, so keep that in mind when planning a get together.
