Disclosure: I received a complimentary cutting board from Edwards Crossroads in exchange for a post. All opinions are my own.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The weather is cooling off, the leaves are changing, and the holidays are just around the corner. This season of the year is also the prime time for hosting family, friends, and other company at parties and gatherings. No matter if it is a fancy dinner party or just an informal gathering, it is almost certain that appetizers will also be a big part of being a good host. Finger foods help keep dinner guests at bay while the rest of the meal is being prepared, and they are also a good way to start conversation.

We recently hosted some family that arrived a few days before Thanksgiving, and we wanted to practice some of our hosting skills on family! My husband wanted to practice his barbecue know-how on critics that wouldn’t be too harsh, so he fired up his barbecue pit and smoked a small pork loin and some hot-link sausages. After smoking these savory meats, my husband wanted to feature these delicious hors d’oeuvres on a bold, natural display.

He immediately reached for his Edwards Crossroads cutting board to cut and then showcase the smoked meats. Our family recently received our Edwards Crossroads cutting board as a gift, and it was the perfect utensil for cutting these tidbits. The dark natural color of the walnut cutting board made the pork tenderloin stand out, and the smoked hot links paired perfectly with cheese and crackers for tasty pre-dinner treats.

I really like all of the maple cutting boards that double as serving boards. Simply beautiful and cuts down on dishes.

I really, really want a bigger cutting board! It’s so frustrating having the tiny thing I’ve got now… I lost more than a few pieces of cut produce this last weekend from it just rolling off onto the floor. I would love a large The Homestead – Walnut Cutting Board. I can hardly imagine how that would change my cooking experiences.

Lots of neat items, though I really like the Homestead, Extra Large Walnut cutting board. I have several wood boards that are at the end of their lives due to neglect and would love to try again and care for the better.

Oh, the state cutting boards would make such great gifts! I think my favorite is the 458 Walnut cutting board–such an interesting shape!

They are all beautiful, but I would either want the 464 Maple Cutting and Serving Board, or the 467, The Cypress Cutting Board.

I would love a No. 454 Maple Cutting and Serving Board! I just love these boards though…. It’s hard to say what my absolute favorite is lol.
