The countdown to Christmas is here!
If you have little ones that love to ask, “How many days until Christmas?”, then this activity can help them understand how much longer they’ll have to wait until the BIG day!
Create these easy to make Christmas Countdown Poppers using toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, small toys, and candy! Your child will look forward to seeing what’s inside their countdown popper each day.

Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Countdown Poppers
Supplies:
- Toilet Paper Rolls
- Various Color/Design Tissue Paper
- Miniature Toys
- Small Candy
- Small Paper Strips
- Fine Tip Marker
- String or Small Rubber Bands
Instructions:
Cut TP rolls into 25 equal pieces (2 per TP Roll).
Cut tissue paper into 25 6×6 inch squares.
On the strips of paper, write out 25 messages/wishes.
To assemble the poppers, place 1 roll piece in the center of one sheet of tissue paper.
Fill the roll with one toy, one piece of candy, and one message/wish.
Gather all the tissue paper around the roll and secure at the top with string or small rubber band.
Repeat this process until you have completed 25 poppers.
Display suggestions: glue onto a wreath, a shaped cardboard cutout, place in a holiday bowl or stocking, or place through the house for a hide and seek game before bed!
