Yummy Mummy Cereal Bars

I was browsing the aisles at Target one afternoon, trying to stick to my list. Target is one of those places where I can go in with one item on my list and check out with a cart full of items. If I’m shopping alone without the kids, you can be sure I’ll stay for at least an hour or two looking around at all the cool things Target has to offer and spending way more than I need to!

I knew my girls would love this cereal because they love cereal with marshmallows, plus I had a fun recipe in mind! Yummy Mummy Cereal Bars

Yummy Mummy Cereal Bars Recipe


6 cups of Fruity Yummy Mummy Cereal (or any other Retro Monster Cereal)
5 cups of Marshmallows
3 Tbsp. Butter


  1. In a large microwavable bowl, microwave the butter until melted.
  2. Combine the marshmallows with the melted butter and stir until marshmallows are coated.
  3. Microwave the marshmallows and butter mixture until mixture is melted completely.
  4. Stir mixture until well blended.
  5. Add in the cereal and mix together until cereal is coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  6. Press mixture into a 13X9 inch pan.
  7. Wait until the cereal bars have cooled, then cut into squares.

    Oh my goodness, you have no idea how much I want to make these now! I’m pregnant and nothing has sounded good to eat in days . . . but these, oh boy! The hubby might have to make a stop on his way home from work! 😉

    I’m going to have to make these for my brother. He loves rice crispy treats to this day, but as kids we would each pick out our own cereal. He would choose Count Chocula and I would always get Boo-Berry. What a fun idea!

    This is a yummy cereal. I’d like to try this. although my kids prefer a little bit dry, and sometimes they just want to eat cereal without milk in it. anyway, i might want to try this one. it looks lik it has same ingredients in make rice cereal but this is way yummier as i see it
