Playdough Ingredients:

Playdough Directions:

Add the flour, salt and cream of tartar to a medium mixing bowl.  Whisk to combine the ingredients and set aside.

Pour the water into a medium sauce pan.  Add the vegetable oil and stir to combine.

Place the saucepan on your stove top and heat until boiling. Remove from heat.

Add the flour mixture to the hot water and stir continuously until a thick lump of dough forms. Allow the dough to cool for at least 5 minutes before handling.

Once cooled, place the dough on a flat work surface. Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes or until it is soft and pliable. 

Store in an airtight container (Ziploc bag works great) for up to 2 weeks.

Using a mini rolling pin, roll the dough out on a flat work service until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.

Place a cereal bowl, upside down, in the middle of the dough and press down.  

Gently, lift the bowl up. You will see a perfect indentation in the shape of a circle. Using a plastic knife, cut around the circle or just peel the extra dough away(setting aside the extra dough scraps). 

Place the large white button in the middle of the dough circle.

Use the blue perler beads to make an outline of a triangle on top of the beach ball.  Fill in with additional blue beads. 

Use the yellow buttons to make an outline of a triangle in the bottom right side of the beach ball.  Fill in with more yellow buttons.

Finally, use the red pom-poms to make an outline of a triangle in the bottom left side of the beach ball. Fill in with additional red pom-poms.
