All you need are a few marbles, a printable egg template, and your favorite paint colors.

Supplies:

  • tempera paint
  • paint cups
  • spoons
  • marbles
  • cardstock (for printing the template)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • construction paper
  • bin or paint tray
  • printable egg template (see below)

    Print the egg template on white cardstock.

    Squeeze the paint into the paint cups with one color in each cup.

    Drop a marble in each color of paint.

    Use a spoon to roll the marble around in the paint. Then, scoop the marble into the bin over the cardstock.

    Instruct the children to move the bin or paint tray trying to roll the marbles over the template.

    When done, carefully remove the painted paper to dry. Cut the egg shape from the cardstock.

    Attach to a piece of construction paper using glue. Allow time to dry.
