Create this adorable Milk Jug Snowman Craft to display in your home this holiday season!

If you are looking for a fun indoor winter craft to make with the kids this season, consider creating these snow men made out of clean and empty milk jugs!

Milk jug crafts are fun to make! My Milk Jug Pumpkins and Milk Jug Ghosts are a big hit during the fall season! These crafts inspired me to make more milk jug crafts for kids.

Snowman Crafts and Activities for Kids

Milk Jug Snowman Craft

Supplies:

  • Empty milk jug with lid
  • Black construction paper
  • Orange construction paper
  • White pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Self adhesive foam glitter sheets
  • Lid from small jar
  • Pipe cleaners
  • String of lights (battery operated or LED)
  • X-acto knife

Directions:

Trace the milk jug lid on the black construction paper six times. (2 circles for eyes, 4 circles for mouth). You can trace more circles depending on how many snowmen you want to make.

Cut out the circles.

Cut out a carrot shape for the nose using the orange construction paper.

Glue the eyes and nose onto the milk jug.

To see what type of paper I’m using for the earmuffs for this craft, check out the image below. The backing pulls away from the paper like a sticker. You can find self adhesive glitter foam sticker sheets here.

Using the lid from a small jar, trace circles on the glitter paper.

Cut out the circles.

Remove the sticky backing.

Stick one end of the pipe cleaner on the sticky side.

Stick to the side of snowman.

Using the other sticky circle, stick the other end of the pipe cleaner on the other side of the milk jug to complete the ear muffs!

If desired, use the X-acto knife to cut a square out of the back of the milk jug. Insert the lights for a light up snow man!

Made these Easter Baskets with each child I swear a milk jug is made for this. The kids love it since there s a handle to carry all their goodies. So to make these you trace eyes, eyeballs, nose, ears, and inside ears. Have children cut everything out and glue eyes and ears and nose with whiskers together. When dry we stapled everything on jug or you can glue it. Then we glued a Hoppy Easter tag over the milk label. Completed with foam name, pom pom tail and grass.

Thank you for the comment! I actually have a Milk Jug Easter Basket on my list of things to make this spring for the blog here! There are so many ways to use empty milk jugs. I hope to create a series of ways to use them in 2021!
