Christmas Chocolate Oreo Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Oreo cookies
- 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese
- 1 package of chocolate flavored almond bark
- 1 package of white chocolate flavored almond bark
- colored sprinkles
Directions:
In a large zipper bag, crush the Oreos into very small pieces.
I actually placed a zipper bag of the Oreos into another zipper bag just to be on the safe side in case I punched a hole in the bag during the crushing step.
NOTE: If you want to save some time, use a food processor to crush up the cookies if desired.

Melt your chocolate. You can do this in the microwave or I prefer to melt mine on the stove to keep it from drying or burning.
You can see how I boil water in a pot and place a bowl on top of the pot. You’ll want to melt at least 6 of the blocks of chocolate to give you enough for this recipe.
You can use a double boiler for melting chocolate, I just didn’t have one at the time of making these that year!

Here’s the messy part! First, make sure your hands are washed well, and if you have little ones helping you, make sure you wash their hands well, too.
Lightly powder your hands with flour. Fold the cream cheese into the Oreos and mix the Oreos and cream cheese together well.

The end result should look like what’s pictured above – you’ll have one big ball of Oreo and cream cheese mixture!

Next, you’ll want to shape the Oreo and cream cheese dough into 1-inch balls until all of the mixture is gone.

Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and roll it around with a spoon until it’s covered in chocolate.

Remove each ball from the bowl with a set of tongs and place each ball onto a sheet of wax paper.

Let the Oreo balls sit and dry. You can save half of the balls for the white chocolate mixture if you’d like.

You can also place several of the balls in the chocolate at once. Cover with white chocolate.

Place the white chocolate Oreo balls onto the wax paper. Let them cool and the chocolate dry.

With a spoon, dip into the white chocolate and drizzle the chocolate Oreo balls with the melted white chocolate.

Sprinkle the Oreo balls with sprinkles and let dry. (My 5 year old helped me during this entire process and loved this step!)

Once dry, place the Oreo balls into small decorative baking cups or onto a pretty platter and serve!
If you aren’t serving these right away, place the Oreo balls into the freezer or refrigerator until they are ready to be served.
