Fall is here and the temperatures are getting cooler outside. This weekend, we saw a ton of rain in South Carolina from Hurricane Joaquin and we spent the weekend indoors waiting for the rain to pass. We are getting antsy indoors and ready to start enjoying the fun activities that the fall season has to offer. Our family takes advantage of a variety of fall activities including visiting pumpkin patches, corn mazes, fall festivals, hay rides, Halloween events, and more. We like to keep our kids active and involved during the fall season and it’s fun for the adults to participate in, too!

I’ve never been to the beach area during the fall season, but it’s on our wish list. I didn’t realize how many fun fall activities and kid friendly options they have around the Daytona Beach area. We’ve already traveled to Florida twice since living in South Carolina, but this time, I’d like to discover what’s around the beaches, especially during the fall. Daytona Beach offers a wide variety of activities, dining options for your next family vacation. The beach awaits you!

Things to Do

If you are looking for a place to stay and a destination great for couples, you can find hotels, motels, condo rentals, bed and breakfast inns, vacation rentals and camp grounds – something to fit everyone’s budget and style. Popular attractions include Daytona International Speedway or the new Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, the largest collection of Florida art in the world. Love to fish? Go deep-sea fishing where some of the best bass fishing in Florida is offered! Rentals are available for water sports. Visit one of Daytona Beach’s many historical sites. At night, choose from a number of Daytona Beach’s fine dining and restaurants, bars or dance clubs.

Fall Festivals

Daytona Beach is known as the festival capital of Florida. The area hosts more than 50 festivals throughout the year, and Fall festivals make this one of the best times of the year to visit. If you love art, be sure to attend the Halifax Art Festival in scenic downtown Daytona Beach. For classic cars of all varieties, it’s the Daytona Turkey Run at Daytona International Speedway, and for a bit of dancing and tasty gyros, don’t miss the Greek Festival. During the Daytona Blues Festival, you’ll enjoy a top-notch line-up for blues greats performing at historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Find daily live music during Biketoberfest® at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona motorcycle-themed shopping and entertainment complex.

As you can see, Daytona Beach has lots of great options for your perfect family vacation. Pack up the family this year and head over to fall festivals this year! Check out all of the free things to do in Daytona Beach!
