    Plan a Summer Sundae Fundae

The summer months are flying by and before we know it, the kids will be going back to school. We’ve enjoyed summer BBQs and swimming at the neighborhood pool, but there’s one thing we haven’t done yet. We haven’t created ice cream sundaes. With the back to school season approaching, I want to make sure I enjoy a “Sundae Fundae” with my kids before school starts.

Walmart is my go-to place for just about everything. They have a great selection of toppings for our sundaes. I loaded my youngest daughter up and took her with me to stock up on a few items for our sundaes while our oldest daughter was at summer camp.

I went to the aisle next to the freezer section and found the ice cream toppings that I need for our sundaes. My daughter was very excited to pick out a few of her favorite toppings including the Smucker’s® Magic Shell® Chocolate Fudge!

    Plan a Summer Sundae Fundae

My daughter helped me pick out a few Smucker’s sugar free selections because she knows I’m watching my sugar intake. I’m pleased to know that Smucker’s makes sugar free options for anyone limiting their sugar intake. This means that I can make a great sundae too and enjoy the fun with my girls!

Check out the selection of Smucker’s toppings at Walmart:

There’s so many great options to choose from for your sundae toppings. We chose the following for our sundaes:

    • Smucker’s® Magic Shell® Chocolate Fudge
    • Smucker’s® Hot Fudge Topping
    • Smucker’s® Sugar Free Caramel Sundae Syrup
    • Smucker’s® Sugar Free Hot Fudge Topping

We also picked up a few multicolored sprinkles and chocolate chips to add to our sundaes. Then, I checked out and loaded my ice cream toppings into the car.

    Plan a Summer Sundae Fundae

We are excited about our upcoming “Sundae Fundae” and can’t wait to share our amazing creations with you! Until then, consider heading to your local Walmart and stocking up on Smucker’s toppings and start planning your Sundae Fundae!

  • 5 Ways for Moms to Relax this Summer

5 Ways for Moms to Relax this Summer

The kids have been home for summer break for almost one month now. I’ve been trying my best to keep the kids busy and entertained this summer with both indoor and outdoor activities. We go to the pool on a regular basis and we also spend time indoors coloring, playing games, watching t.v. and whatever else we can find to do to pass up time during these hot summer months! As a mom, the summer routine can be a bit hectic. While it’s nice to skip the alarm clocks during the summer and snooze more often, you may be feeling overwhelmed if it’s your responsibility to entertain the kids all summer. By now, you may be seeking more alone time to yourself and needing time away from the kids! Summer will fly by, but until then, take some time to relax!

5 Ways for Moms to Relax this Summer

    1. Sleep in. I love the summer because I don’t have to set the alarm clock! Use this time to sleep in if your kids sleep in, too. If you are an early riser, use the quiet time for yourself and enjoy a hot cup of coffee in peace!

    2. Take advantage of nap times. Catch up on your favorite shows or read a book during your child’s nap time (or take a nap, too!)

    3. Join a gym with childcare. If you are feeling overwhelmed by having the kids at home all day, consider joining a gym that offers childcare. Some gyms offer to watch your children for up to 2 hours while you take naps in the locker room workout.

    4. Plan a bubble bath regularly. Schedule an evening bubble bath one or two days a week after dad gets home. Sneak away for a bath time retreat while dad handles the kids.

    5. Enjoy your favorite treats in a quite place. I like to sit out on the back porch in the lounge chair in the evenings after a long day and enjoy my favorite wholesome summer treats.

Moms: Don’t forget to take time to relax this summer!

Here are some supplies you may need for summer handprint crafts:

Washable Paint: Choose non-toxic, washable paints in various vibrant summer colors. Acrylic or tempera paints are good options.

Handprint Ink Pads: If you don’t want to use paint, these ink pads are great for tiny hands!

Paintbrushes: Have a selection of paintbrushes in different sizes to apply the paint to your child’s hand or for additional painting details.

Paper or Canvas: Use white or colored construction paper, cardstock, or canvas as the base for the handprint crafts. You can choose the size depending on the project you have in mind.

Water and Palette: Keep a container of water and a palette handy for mixing and diluting paints.

Smock or Apron: Protect your child’s clothes by having them wear a smock or an old shirt while painting.

Baby Wipes or Damp Towels: Have some baby wipes or damp towels nearby to quickly clean up any accidental spills or to wipe your child’s hands between colors.

Pencils or Pens: Use pencils or pens for tracing handprints or drawing additional details on the crafts.

Scissors: Keep a pair of child-safe scissors on hand for cutting out shapes or trimming excess paper.

Glue or Glue Stick: If you plan to attach the handprints to other materials or create collages, have glue or a glue stick available.

Optional Decorative Items: Depending on the specific crafts you want to create, you may consider having additional decorative items such as glitter, sequins, googly eyes, ribbons, or stickers.

Remember to consider the age and abilities of your child when choosing supplies and always supervise them during the craft-making process.
