The back-to-school season is here and many families are getting used to the new back-to-school routine. Folders are already coming home filled with completed school work and forms are included to be filled out and returned. There’s a lot to keep up with during the school year and it’s a good idea to be as organized as possible to have a successful school year.
One thing that gets overlooked at times during the school year is the importance of clipping and saving Box Tops for Education! Read my post (here) to see why I clip Box Tops (and why you should, too!) Considering how easy it is to clip Box Tops to earn cash for schools, I feel it’s important for Box Tops to be discussed on a regular basis and I feel that classroom teachers should remind students to tell everyone they know to clip and save Box Tops! Each Box Top is worth $0.10 each and when turned in, earns FREE cash for your school! Think about how all of those saved Box Tops can add up!
An easy way to motivate students to collect Box Tops is to help them tell everyone they know to help collect: family, friends, church friends, co-workers, etc. But, instead of just telling them to save Box Tops, I feel it’s important to give your family and friends something tangible that will help to motivate them to clip and save their Box Tops as a reminder.
We created these handy little bags to help our friends and family save Box Tops this year. They are so simple to make and can really help your Box Tops earnings add up! Inside the bag is a little poem as a reminder to collect Box Tops:
Box Tops are rad, Box Tops are cool,
Will you save your Box Tops to help raise cash for our school?
Here’s a bag just for you, Fill it with Box Tops,
Include Bonus Box Tops, too!
Return the bag when it is full,
Thanks for helping us earn cash for our school!
The idea is to create these bags for Box Tops and give them to everyone you know. Your recipient will keep the bag at home and as they clip Box Tops, they will place the Box Tops inside the bag. Once the bag has a good amount of Box Tops inside, the recipient will return the bag to the child and the child will be able to turn them in to the school so his/her school can earn some cash. Super easy!
Box Tops can be found on hundreds of products. To save even more Box Tops, look for Bonus Box Tops on packages and clip those, too!
Do you collect Box Tops for Education?
