Today I’m sharing an easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe with you!

This recipe is a great recipe to have the kids help you to bake! Kids can learn a lot while cooking including reading and following directions, counting, measuring, pouring, stirring, how to crack eggs, and much more!

My kids love to help me bake, so now that they are all old enough, I try really hard to get them involved when I want to make a recipe from scratch.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½  cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Using a large mixing bowl and mixer, beat together the peanut butter and butter until blended. Add the sugar and beat for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.

To the butter mixture, add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined. Add the flour.

Stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips.

Scoop cookie batter and place on baking sheet at least one inch apart as the cookies will spread.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 7 minutes.

Using the parchment paper, lift the cookies to continue cooling on a wire cooling rack.
