If you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer to make to serve your family or guests this year, consider making these Cheesy Bacon Jalapeño Pinwheels!
I love everything about this recipe – from the cheese and the bacon, to the crescent roll and garlic flavor. I love the spicy kick the jalapeno gives to the recipe, too.
These ingredients combined together create a tasty little pinwheel to enjoy. You may be interested in trying my Sausage and Cream Cheese Pinwheels, also.
Cheesy Bacon Jalapeño Pinwheels
Ingredients:
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
- ¼ cup seeded and diced jalapenos
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cans (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls or crescent dough sheet
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Slice up the jalapeno and remove the seeds. Wash your hands after this step and avoid touching your eyes and nose! Dice the jalapeno.
In a medium bowl, blend together the cream cheese, bacon, 1 ½ cup cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and garlic powder.
Unroll the crescent dough, pressing the seams together. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent rolls into an even layer.
Roll the crescent dough up tightly but without pressing too hard along the longest side.
Cut each roll into slices. Place on the baking sheet.
Top each pinwheel with a sprinkle of remaining cheese.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2 to 3 minutes before plating and serving.
