Today I’m sharing this Baked Rigatoni recipe as an option to serve for your family this week.
If you aren’t familiar with rigatoni pasta, it’s just a tube-shaped pasta. larger than penne and ziti and slightly curved.
This Baked Rigatoni pairs well with your favorite fresh hot bread and a side salad!
Plus, this recipe calls for fresh broccoli that can be hidden in the recipe for picky eaters.

Easy Cheesy Baked Rigatoni
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 lb. rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 head fresh broccoli florets, chopped small
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 jar of pasta sauce
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
To prepare the topping, mix the ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning together in a small bowl and set aside.
Cook pasta per package instructions, drain (reserve ½ cup pasta water), set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage in olive oil, breaking into small crumbles as it cooks.
Add broccoli and garlic to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes.
Stir in the pasta sauce, ½ cup parmesan, and a little pasta water to thin sauce as needed.
Prepare a 13×9 casserole dish with a light coat of nonstick spray.
Spoon ½ of the pasta mixture into the dish.
Dollop spoonfuls of the topping mixture over the pasta.
Sprinkle on ¼ cup of the parmesan and ½ of the mozzarella.
Layer on remaining pasta mixture.
Sprinkle on remaining cheese.
Bake for about 20 minutes until cheese is melted and top is golden brown.
Let rest 5 minutes.
