Easter eggs are a fun and creative way to get into the Easter spirit! But why not take it a step further and create something unique?
One of our favorite activities is making Melted Crayon Easter Eggs!
All you need are some regular crayons, an Easter egg mold, and your oven!
Simply place the Crayons in the Easter egg molds, put them in the oven for a few minutes, then voila – you have beautiful melted Crayon Easter eggs!
It’s so much fun to see how each one turns out – every egg is truly one-of-a-kind.

Melted Crayon Easter Eggs
Supplies:
- cookie sheet
- Crayons (broken up)
- egg shaped silicone mold
- oven
- freezer
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
If using new crayons, place them in a bowl or cup of hot water for 5 minutes to easily remove the wrapper.
Crayons will cut easily with scissors if cut right after removing them from the warm water. Cut the Crayons down into smaller pieces.
Place small pieces of crayon in the mold.
If using a mold, place the mold on top of a cookie sheet.
Place the cookie sheet in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the Crayons melt down.
Remove cookie sheet from oven with oven mitts and let cool for 5 minutes.
For faster cooling, place the cooled down mold into the freezer for 2-4 hours.
After freezing allow the mold to warm to room temperature before removing.
